Hi, for a few weeks now the Sky Q is delaying connecting to the TV. At the beginning it was a 10 minute delay, now it got to 1 hour before connecting. Cables, TV, sound bar and other connections are all working fine. I have several TVs throughout the house and all have the same issue, so I believe it's the Sky Q. The only remedy I found is to turn the SkyQ box off, leave for a while, then turn on. However, even then the issue is not resolved fully: the box connects to TV but it's not allowing the remote to go through any options for about 15 mins. I can't keep turning the box on and off every time I want the TV on, though. Any idea what I can do? Do I need a new box?.?

Update - Spoken to GBY but we were unable to confirm data protection so the chat has been closed.

Sorry, I meant to add that this issue reappears aevery time I turn the TV on, even if the previous time i had it on I also rebooted the box.

@GBYGenerally Q boxes and TVs are intended to be left on standby rather than turned off at the mains.
If turned off they will both go through a reset process which can take time.
So if you turn them off leave them on standby.

Thank you Bob, I actually meant put them on standby. I basically do nothing different to what I've been doing for the last few years since having the SkyQ

@GBY I have escalated this to Sky and hopefully they will come back to you, Private message or email, and be able to sort something out for you. Look for a blue blob bottom right of your screen.
PLEASE NOTE once you get the blob the chat is not real time and once you type in there could be quite a wait until there is a response, you don't have to hold the chat open just come back later to see any replies.
It seems that sometimes the "blob" does not show with Safari.
If you are using Safari with OSX, please make sure that Hide IP Address (under Privacy) is not checked in order to see the blue bubble.

IS anyone having problems with sky q now - 10pm 24th jan
my remote box is not working, it keeps cutting outand losing signal. i have done allthe checks that sky suggest....... is there a sky chat bot or do they not provide support?
this suggests that its the wifi - but the main tv / had a blip and lost signal about an hour agobut seemed toi right itself
