Hi Cloe - below is the post i put up coupla days ago. same situation and cant download any of the episodes form series 1 onwards. ISP is BT, but form all the posts this issue is with any ISP including SKy. feels gorribly like content servers Sky uses are throttling back access on either a random or sustained way. anyway good luck with finding a solution Cloe

It appears to be any of the Sky content (BBC and NH4 are OK for example) I have tried various started with Dexter S4.
I have managed to dowload episode a bit at a time by trying again at random times during the day

Smart setup is not the issue here as:
1) Sky connects to a sky router attached via ethernet to my BT router
2) I have it disabled Smart setup on the BT side

And you are illegally using a Sky Router as you can only have a Sky router if you are subscribing to Sky broadband

@SS123456x thanks for that. Sky are investigating so hoping a solution is found soon.
The only issue I've had is some downloads are slower than usual, but my IP is ee.

Rubbish what are you talking about, the Sky Engineer fitted the Sky router and plugged it into my BT Router

Had a virtual call off a sky engineer today. Said everything was fine as it was fixed overnight. Downloaded one episode then back to not working..

I have never heard of Sky fitting a router to another broadband provider's equipment. The other person on the community forum bought a Sky router to do the same thing and that was definitely illegal.
The problem could be that een though you are using a Sky router, it still has to go through BT. One thing to try is go into the advanced settings of the Sky Q box and change it so it's not using the DNS server from BT. 1.1.1.1 is Cloudflare DNS and 8.8.8.8 is Google DNS. Both are free to use.

I did post earlier well I athouzghst I did. I have been getting the same issue so called them this morning (third time in three days). I explained I had gone through a reset, then software update but fine for a while then getting Failed: Item unavailable. He tried something and I managed a download then reverted back to Failed etc.
Anyhoo he looked and realised how many people were having a problem and said he was going to raise it as an issue and told me to check Sky.com for updates so far it still does not appear to be an issue for them but he felt it was a Sky problem all complaints started 29th November. He also promised to check back with on Saturday 4th.
What else can we do except keep phoning in do you think calling and asking for cancellations will have a better response?

So a interesting call with Sky after a software update did nothing ( shocker ). Apparently it isn't a National outage ... just a few people. Also you won't be getting any money back as the service is 'free' as part of a paid package lol. Bandits
