Ok - so Sky opened & then closed my complaint without discussion or resolution!! I have re contacted them to say they leave me no choice but to contact CISAS...
Sky are not treating customers fairly, I am not confident that I am dealing with a company where the fair treatment of customers is central to SKYs culture etc etc

@uhohpandaman Terrible customer service but I am sure it happened to me in the past. They really need to be doing more and to say we can't have a refund is very poor. It's part of a system that we are paying for, and even though there is no charge directly, there is a cost indirectly.

I also changed DNS to 1 1 1 1, why are sky advising against this as it solved my problem, can now download. Took a picture of the screen before changing in case I have to change back later.

I have literally come off the phone to Sky. I was told that the issue was raised mid 2021 and is known to have got worse over time due to a security and licence update. He told me that they have since created a whole new department to try and resolve this issue. I didn't speak to them directly but was told that my details have been registered with them and they will be looking into it. I told him about this forum and it was suggested that I tell people that they need to ring customer services and ask if the issues they have can also be registered with this department. The more that do it, the more chance they will do something about it. I hope this helps

The download failure also occurs when using Sky go so the wotkround doesn't work. I tried to download JFK Destiny betrayed ep3 and The Colony 5 mins ago

I've been having the same issues with downloads failing, tried all the dns settings and still no joys with the Sky Q box, moaned loads to sky but to no prevail.
as a workaround I use the sky app on my Xbox One, which appears to give me stuff that I could watch on the Q box, however it's not the best, no 5.1 in movies, adverts in programs, and not to mention the choppy buffering. (Not my internet, I get 80mb)

You cannot have ANY idea if I am in a 'minority' !
WE do not know how many people are being fobbed off by something that was a minor annoyance until the XMAS break came around and I have visited famiuly and friends and seen the same issue with ALL of them

Using BT Hub 6 with halo 2
sky q with one mini box.
I see loads of people having issues with this, after the thread link given by secretbob, I have changed my DNS setting to the first one on the given BT DNS settings of 194.74.65 68.
This was also used to change the mini box, and as for the past ten days, downloaded any films or sky channels with no sound or picture problems.
will keep this way due to sometime soon the sky q box with need another update due to the Xmas channels coming off I bet like most years.
