Sky q box was making a whirling sound then when to press home button black screen

I have knocked it off and left it for hours. It loads but when to press home button the screen stays black

Nothing happens when i press it

If i press the q on the box my remote bleeps so it must be connected

While the screen is black after pressing Home, what color is the power light on your box?

Press power on your remote instead of home. Does the bring the box on? 

If the box's light is green, try pressing Home 1 0 8 0 Home, to set it to 1080i resolution, Sky's native resolution, to see if that brings the picture back.

The remote wont control the sky q box and now it wont even turn on via the button or the remote i did change the batteries in the remote as told
