We dont have an On Demand separate box so can't unplug it!

But everything else as described by others.

We go into Settings and Network and there is no function to put in password/pin etc.

Help, please.

If your box has Wifi built in @JKLuck  then on the Network screen press the red button to reset it.

Hi, thanks.

Tried this. Red button "activates" for a few seconds and then that's it. Nothing further happens.

Green button says to set up manually but I dont know what I'm doing there.

Is this issue to convince me to go sky q,or is this issue on q boxes also.

please don't blame wireless connections,as they either work or they don't work,

wireless works everything else,and most days is excellent.

How long before sky is streamed, like amazon and netflix and the many others,surely dishes are out of date now!

No. Haven't seen the issue on my Q box (and rarely on my previous Sky+HD box)

In development, but no clarity on timescales yet. I doubt satellite dishes will go out of fashion for the foreseeable future bearing in mind that streaming requires internet bandwidth which is not always available.

Hi Mark

I'm having the same issue as this person. WiFi working fine on all other devices in the house. The Little black box is connected to the sky +box by a cable and all connections are plugged in correctly. Still doesn't pick up our network so is there a problem with the little black box?

The Sky Black Box seems a real wifi fuss pot. I cannot get it to connect to our main network which is Apple both regular 2.4gHz  and 5gHz with multiple boosters and repeaters round the house. It does connect to our TP-Link modem-router but only with WPS and will not recognise the password, no matter how carefully you enter it. I am guessing this is the issue with Apple which does not use WPS. 

 

On another point, when I am at my French house (chance would be a fine thing) I do stream Sky on the Go app from my UK  account. The only pain is that if I am away for more than a month, I have to get a family member located in the UK to stream something from Sky Go in the UK to keep the account active. You cannot use a VPN to do this. I have UK Freesat in France but often want to watch F1 on Sky Sports or movies on Sky Movies.

Can I please join in the ‘no connection to on demand enquiries? I have exactly the same problem as so many others . Out of the blue I can’t use on demand. I get message saying must be problem with broadband connection , go to sky for help. Settings show Fail,Fail.  I’ worked thru every suggestion on Sky help pages, tested broadband signal strength, it’s ok, tested broadband/ router connection, it’s ok, rebooted several times, not ok.  I have sky+ HD box, sky is my broadband provider, I have all other devices working online perfectly. My wireless connector mini connects with a usb cable, all securely in place. There are no lights showing on this wee box at all. Does this mean this connector box is the problem? If so how do I replace it? Help please!

Exactly the same problem; SKY unable to suggest anything apart from switcing off/on/resetting everything etc...or to send an engineer at additional cost.....any ideas?

When you switch off disconnect the small box from the Sky box, leave for 5 mins then reconnect to Sky box before switching back on

My Sky Box says it is not connected to my router and therefore I cannot connect to catch up and the such like.

 

However the green router light is on and we can watch Netflix, You Tube etc all of which are on the interent therefore the Router is connected.

 

Clearly this is a Sky proble with the box? as there is no other explanation.

 

Can someone suggest what I should do next. I am too immobile to clamber around behind TV sets etc so may have to get my own engineers in.

What have you tried to try and fix this @Sir+Geoffrey  as there is plenty of advice in this thread on what to do, a box reboot would be something to start with.

Slightly different problem to mine.

I am connected to the router and can watch Netlfix et al but the box says fail fail. No telephone connected. And I can not access catch up. This happened from switching off to switching on the next day so the fauly has to be in the Sky Box if there is one at all.  Geoff

Turn off both your Sky box and  your broadband router off at the plug.

Wait 30 seconds before turning your router back on and another 4 minutes before restarting your Sky box.

Wait until both have fully restarted and then check for access to Catch Up.
