Sky glass warrenty

After an hour on the phone today to both Sky and Domestic and General currently after 2 years there is no extended warrenty on the Sky Glass TV and neither knows after the 2 year warrenty has expired how you get the device repaired. When will this be addressed it is something I feel a lot of customers will be thinking about before they make the change over to the Sky Glass TV

@steve+read

Sky provides the two year warranty, which realistically is a swap-out, not a 'repair'.  It's up to D&G if they want to offer an insurance-based cover, but as I've posted elsewhere, insurers are typically somewhat reluctant to take on risk which hasn't been quantified yet: they don't have to do so at all if they don't want to (although personally I suspect they'll start those annoying cold calls in autumn next year as the initial Glass sets approach their second birthday)

Re: Sky glass warrenty

If you hold contents policy it would be covered for accidental damage etc.

I imagine by the time we are two years into ownership somebody will be offering breakdown insurance.
