Sky cancelling Spotify?

Just had an email from Sky, stating that they're going to cancel Spotify. Why are they doing this?!

Because they can and that either Sky or Spootify no longer want this agreement they have to continue.

They're not cancelling your Spotify accounts. It just won't be built into your Sky bill any more so you'll have to do what 99.9999% of Spotify users do and pay Spotify directly.

 

It may also not be available as an app on the box any more, but I don't know specifically about that. It will still be available on Smart TVs, tablets, phones, laptops, cookers, microwaves, pets...
