Sky billing ignorence

Why does sky take no notice of you. Been a sky glass customer for 2 months and nothing but problems. If you pay your bill early they will still take money from your account on bill date. They must not even look if you already payed.

I have phoned them to arrange new payment date but still take no notice. I have change to direct debit for next month and canceled the card with my bank.

Why would you pay early? If you have a continuous payment method set up you should never need to make a manual payment. A credit appears on your account for the amount you have overpaid. This will be used to pay your next bill so on that bill date no money should be taken from your account. If you want the overpayment refunded to you, you should ring Sky.

In future if you want to make a manual payment, to prevent the automatic payment being taken out as well, you need to make sure the full payment is showing as credit on your Sky account at least 4 working days before your payment due date. If it's later than that the banking process will have started which is automated.

Why pay early as there is no need to when you have a direct debit setup because if you get you timings wrong as appeared to have happened here the payment is still taken, so going forward just let your bill be paid by the DD each month as there is no need whatsoever to pay it yourself.
