Re: I need to speak to someone urgently about a fault on my parents phone line.

My mum's home phone has a fault when anyone rings her it is silent for a round 30 seconds then goes to engaged tone but she can ring out ?

My landline is registering engaged when there is no one on the telephone can you check the line pls

In essence my telephone is coming up continually engaged when nobody inn the house is on the phone could ypou please get the line checked for me

@Len+Read   I have merged your post to this existing thread that is discussing the same issue, a new thread isn't required.

 

There is an ongoing issue as per the post marked as the answer at the top of this thread.  No one on the forum cpould check your line in any case.

Landline not receiving calls. It just cuts out. Tried everything I can think of to correct it.

I can dial out but cannot receive any calls they don't ring or show busy just keep getting timed out

No been a customer for years, all our area went down don't know why but it's been a week now and still nothing. Some are now working others not.

Hi 

When you call the number it is engaged, outgoing seems to be fine.

@brianS11 if you have Sky VOIP, it might be worth trying a Hub restart,  by switching off at the plug for 30 seconds or so. Failing that, give Sky a ring on 150 to report the ongoing problem.
