Sky Sports UHD - Picture Break Up / Pixelation

I know you was not asking me specifically but I also seen it on the Villa Nottingham Forrest match I have for a test watched a few others events and matches and it does the same thing there as well.

It only happens on UHD/HDR football, all other sports channels in HD are fine.

Our sky glass has had problems from the start and have spoken to several sky reps. who mostly agree that there are still technical issues which need sorting and are being worked on now! I was advised to remove wifi from settings and it seemed better for a while but is now getting worse again. We lost Emmerdale on ITV last night completely as it kept stopping, starting and repeating itself! It still freezes at times on any channel but most problems seem to be on ITV. Am complaining again and considering going to Watchdog as Sky are still advertising a product which they know is faulty.

@Floydianslip That's terrible! Do you get the option to view it in SDR? And if so is the picture OK?

It was only there when the graphic was displayed happened a couple of times during the game. The PQ is superb, until they display graphics, half time discussion is the worst.

@TechGuy007  I have just got the box, so it was just this one so far. Based on other messages though, i will happen again, so Sky should check it.

And I can confirm that it was worse when graphics were displayed.

@Floydianslip Yes, that's what I'm getting when they put up graphics on live football on the UHD channels now, eg, at half time when doing analysis or before the game. It's been happening for maybe a couple of weeks.

Once the on-screen graphics are off, the picture is fine.

The on-screen graphics are fine on the HD version of the channel so it's definitely UHD related.

I've reported it and sent them the pic, whether they do anything, who knows.

@Floydianslip Apologies if I don't understand, but I thought that with Sky Sports in UHD, you have the option to watch in HDR (where you say there's a problem with the pq) or SDR. Is the problem still there with the SDR stream? If not, then at least you can still watch in UHD resolution, even though not HDR.

I'm saying its there on the UHD/HDR stream, it isn't there on the HD streams.

@Floydianslip I'm not talking about HD. I think you have two UHD options - SDR (8-bit) and HDR (10-bit).  Is the problem on both or only the 10-bit?

The point is though I dont want to watch in UHD.....I know how to change pic settings etc,

I'll leave it to the Sky techs to sort now even if its HDR that's the problem given Ive reported the issue.

Anybody got any update on this issue I'm just watch the pre match for villa v Chelsea and it's still got the pixelation on certain parts of the broadcast mainly on stills. I am watching UHD HDR. Surely this should be fixed? 

just out of curiosity just in case it's not the stream but my TV doing some weird processing, I was just wondering if anybody with a similar tv has the same issue? My TV is OLED by LG?
