Sky Q won't connect to New sky router
I have just received new Sky hub with broadband boost. All devices connect to it via WiFi and cable. However Sky Q box won't connect. Followed instructions on TV and pressed WPS button, but Q box won't find or connect to router. Tried manually but it says password is incorrect. Tried reseting both devices, it Sky Q won't connect to router. I am supposed to have priority help but cannot get through. Advice please, thanks

Re: Sky Q won't connect to New sky router
You need to press the WPS button on the router and on the main Q box, and not just one of them.

Re: Sky Q won't connect to New sky router
I have the same problem but the new sky router doesn't have a wps button that sky tv is telling me to press to connect to the new WiFi. I'm getting really frustrated. It's saying now I may need to connect a skyQ booster.

- The WPS button on the new router is on the right-hand edge at the bottom.

Re: Sky Q won't connect to New sky router
I cannot believe everything else in the house can connect to the new router apart from skys own equipment. Phones and tablets, no problem. PC, PlayStation and Xbox all fine.
Sky Q box press WPS buttons, no chance unsuccessful connection
Sky mini box press WPS buttons, nothing
Sky booster press WPS buttons, same ... nothing
Try to connect as different manufacturer with password and again unsuccessful connection.
How can sky's own equipment find it so hard to connect to their own router?? Surely someone has tried this in the factory before sending them out??
I will have to get them to send someone out, I refuse to waste any more of my time trying to make this work.

Re: Sky Q won't connect to New sky router
I have had no broadband at all for the past 2 months, myself and my daughter in lockdown. Then they eventually send out an engineer who didn't know what he was doing, he told me himself, finally get a new router and have the exact same problem as you. Won't connect to sky, but everything else is fine. I've wasted 20 hours on the phone to them easily. My hands are bruised from punching the wall, my own fault. It's infuriating. Also sky send out new router without the sky hub 5hz the fast one, I can only connect to slower broadband, has same name just 5hz at end of the other. I have never had so much stress in my life than the last 2months and I'm a single father who's lived a life.

Re: Sky Q won't connect to New sky router
@Monkknom I'm sure the forum can help. Does your broadband work at the moment and can you connect other devices via wifi ? Are you connecting the router to the main q box via wifi ?
Like you I am a fellow customer trying to help so please provide as much info as possible

Re: Sky Q won't connect to New sky router
I doubt the forum can help, appreciate it doh. I've literally been without broadband 9weeks an engineer has called twice, I told them I was cancelling, 20 plus hours on phone. The last call was before Easter holidays. I told them I was cancelling if they don't fix it this wk. I had homeschooling to do too. The best answer was an engineer will come on the 12 th of April, I rang at end of march. I said so your going to leave us with no broadband for 2 weeks, is that the best answer your going to give me, the agent says yes,. Something so simple, just want what you pay for to work its not too much to ask. The engineer comes tells me he's a TV engineer not a broadband engineer then I lost it, worst service ever. Now I know why they don't have offices,
Anyway I'm out of here before I throw TV out the window
