Hi
I have sky Q with multiroom using 1 sky mini box.
i lost satellite signal during the storms on Friday. Initially I had a message saying recordings and on demand would still be available.
I still have no signal and now I am unable to use recordings or on demand. I am also unable to link my sky mini box.
I have been through all online helps I can find, and nothing has made a difference.
Is this normal? Any advice please?
thank you.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@HCC1977 Until your signal is restored you won't be able to use the other services, Sky boxes need a satellite signal to work, although On demand and recordings will work for a day or 2 without a signal they will stop also.
Have you called Sky to book an engineer?

@HCC1977 this is normal as without a satelitte signal periodically the Q boxes cease to function for anything which will stop the mini box from connecting to it

unfortunately the SKY Q boxes rely on a 'keep alive' authorisation signal periodically sent over the Satellite.
When you don't have a signal this means you don't get this signal & the box effectively stops being usable, as you have found.
Unfortunately there is nothing you can do with the box until the signal is restored but you should still be able to watch live channels using the SKY go app on a tablet etc
EDIT : I am slower at typing than the others
