Sky Q mini box keeps disconnecting from the main box (MR204) after installing new Router?

I have just installed a new router and my mini boxes keep dropping connection to the main box.  All other devices (phones, tablet, laptop) work fine with the router.  I've tried resetting the connection many times and entering the new router details.  The minibox connects sometimes but only for a short period before losing the connection again.  To check the signal I have connected the located the mainbox, router and minibox next to each other in the same room and I am still seeing the same issue on the minibox.  These miniboxes were working fine on the skyhub but this is disconnected now as we changed broadband supplier.  

 

Any ideas what the problem could be?

Hi @MilesLewis 

With 3rd party routers the minis must connect by WiFi to the main Q ,another Mini or a Q booster.   They will not connect by WiFi to will non Sky routers>

WPS your mini to the nearest Q device.

 

Alternativly reset the Network on the mini (Home - Settings - Setup - Network.   Reset on right) and follow onscreen instructions.

I have to do settings/setup/network/reset every time zi switch off the tv using a mini box
