Sky Q & Netflix

Hi all,

Getting Sky Q on Friday, and thinking of adding Netflix.  I have the HD subscription and can watch on two devices at the moment, think it costs me £9.99 per month.

I am a buit confused with the Sky pricing, how much would it be for the same package and does anyone know if there are any drawbacks doing it through Sky rather than directly with Netflix?

Thanks all.

hi @CatManDo

I think many people do save by paying for Netflix via SKY,

Unlike when you pay directly the cost through SKY for Netflix is fixed

The levels of Netflix instead are based on the SKY add ons (which are applicable for SKY content and not just for Netflix) so with your HD sub it would equate to Standard level

the levels via SKY are

Netflix Basic plan (1 screen + SD) as standard
Netflix Standard (2 screens + HD) by adding the HD pack
Netflix Premium (4 screens + UHD/HDR) by adding the Ultra HD pack (requires the HD pack first)

Thank you!

I think I am getting the Ultra HD pack as I am having multiscreen.

So basically I can get Netflix Premium and enjoy 4K at half the price of what I am paying now?! - £5 per month?

Everyone's charges may differ depending on what is being offered & their other subscriptions but that sound right

I think those that have the UHD pack with SKY probably save the most compared to paying Netflix direct

Multiscreen doesn't include UHD like it did a few years ago. You're not getting UHD unless you take the UHD pack.

The Ultimate TV add-on gets you Netflix. But for Netflix Premium with Sky, you also need both the HD pack and the UHD pack.

I have UHD free in my package, so I imagine it's going to be fine in yours. If you don't get it free, you can always call back and get them to sort it based on your conversation.

Do you also have the HD pack?

I admit I thought this might be the case - they do often do such combi deals & I think my UHD is free due to me having multiscreen along with other packs

Don't want to labour the point, but Ultimate TV as well? There'd be no Netflix without it, that's all...

Thanks haven't added that yet it shows it as an option for £5 so wanted to understand what I would get first. Seems a no brainier as I'm paying £10 for he Netflix

Yes, a definite no brainer as you have the other packs anyway.
