I have started to receive issues when watching recordings on Sky Q, this has increased in frequency over the last few weeks.
Specifically it will skip and freeze when watching the recording, if you then try to fast forward during the recording it will start jumping back and forwards and when you press play again it sometimes just freezes (and no it isnt because it is paused). When it freezes it causes issues with the full system and we have to reboot to get it working again.
This is getting ridiculous and for the price we pay for Sky Q I dont expect to have to reboot my box every day just to watch something we have downloaded or recorded.
Thanks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@rmartaneIt sounds as though it may be a problem with the hard disk I would phone Sky, the box may need replacing.

That was my fear, I was secretly hoping there might be a trick to stop it happening.
Thanks @bob1234 I will give them a ring

I don't think getting a new box will solve the problem. I had major issues with pixelation and other issues and the Sky engineers changed the box, the cables and disc 3 times. Never fixed the issue and they told me I had to live with it.
now I have an issue with viewing recordings and when you fast forward to get past adverts, it jumps back to the beginning. Tried the soft reboot and it worked - for 2 weeks! Problem has reappeared.
Customer service does not appear to be a major part of Sky's offering!
