Sky Q Green Screen

Got bright green screen, no error message, just blank & green,  when I switched Sky Q box on earlier. Rebooted box but am still getting  brief intermittent flashing of the green during programme. Checked using PS4 and that's fine....no green screen. Thanks

Have you made sure that your HDMI lead is plugged securely into each end (TV and Sky box)?

 

Also, have you tried putting the end of the Sky lead into the PS4 hmdi port, or tried changing cables?

 

Try to eliminate as much as possible - it's possible that your Sky Q box is broken, but try and see if it's something else before you go through the return/exchange process.

 Just done as you suggested, PS4 fine with Sky cable,  still get the fault with PS4 cable in box.  😥

And you tried with the Sky box being fed into the HDMI port on the TV in place of the PS4?

 

If so, I guess the fault is with the Sky box. Any colour on the light on the front of the box?

Hi Pete, yep did that too.  Light on the box is normal green. Guess you're right about the box being at fault, will contact Sky. Thanks so much for your help.

I see there's an old thread with the same issue (not sure if you can see this archived thread or not)

 

Green Screen on Tv - Sky Community

 

The suggestion was to unplug the power to the Sky Q box and leave it for 5 minutes before plugging it back in again and turning the box on.

 

Worth a shot!

Yeah.....saw it.....tried it. 😀 Rang Sky, did hard drive reset with them, but problem persists so engineer booked.
