Sky Q Box won't work - Blue screen and "No Signal" despite factory reset

I've got an issue here which has been the case since about 8pm on Saturday night. At that stage I started getting the "No Satellite Signal" message, and I'll stress that's not the first time I've had that in the past 18 months. I did what was suggested on here and reset it at the mains, only for it to keep appearing. Eventually it began flashing intermittently between "No Satellite Signal" and "Technical Fault", so I tried again with the mains reset. This time I left it off overnight until Sunday morning. When it came up with the same messages again I attempted a Factory Reset (the second time I've had to do that in 4 months, and it fixed it on that occasion), and since then it's been coming up with just a blank blue screen meaning I can't set it up again, and the Satellite Signal message still appears after about 5 minutes or so, although the detail in it regarding Recordings still being available makes no sense because they'd have been wiped when I did the factory reset. As a last resort just now I've done the thing whereby you hold the standby button to initiate a software update, and that still hasn't solved it. Some help would be appreciated because I'm really at my wits end here280124208_379871524073795_8091230342608842196_n.jpg280500807_703820587554131_8923903312780148824_n.jpg

Hi @MattRushton1995

With the Q box switched off have you checked that both satellite cables onthe back of the Q box are securely attached and not loose?

I have, I'm in a flat with a shared dish and I have like one of those power connector things at the mains. All of the cables are fine

Hi @MattRushton1995

Bear in  mind that if you carry out any Resets in the Q box hidden menu you need to revert your LNB back to SCR (Also in the hidden menu)

@oldfella I'll bear that in mind, but I can't even get to the setup, it's just a blue screen when I turn the box on

@MattRushton1995   Performing a Factory Reset would have restored the LNB type configuration of your Sky Q receiver to be using the default Wideband LNB mode.

But, as you state that you are being fed from a communal Integrated Reception System installation this will require you to change your Sky Q receiver LNB type to SCR.

Can you confirm that your Sky Q receiver is presently configured to be using SCR LNB mode?

@Godfrey haven't seen what looks like power line adapters with f connectors i wouldn't have thought they would send a satellite signal via the electric circuits.

@cookiemonsteruk  The photograph is showing a Sky SP161 Power Inserter, which would be supplying power to a Unitron dCSS-422 Sky Q Plug-In adaptor when local mains power within a communal central distribution cabinet is not available.

@Godfrey

That may be why sky tech told me my power was 67% but seems enough to run my sky q but was told i probably wouldn't be able to run my freesat enabled tv alongside ???

Details as per install

Power (i assume to lnb) 67%

Signal strength 70%

Signal quality 90%

What would i need if at some stage i wanted to run a usals enabled freesat tv and sky q together

Ps @MattRushton1995 and @Godfrey  sorry for hijacking your post 👍
