@Kei+M ,

YOu say you had a decision to further delay or push ahead.   Does this imply with a further delay, the 2TbV1 could have got it?  Does that mean it could get it one day ?   Otherwise, what do you mean by a "further delay"?

The v1 box will never get HLG - the chipset simply isn't capable  of it.

@Kei+M  is referring to the "2TBv1 upgrade journey" - that's the process  for upgrading from the v1 box to a newer version which can support it.
That hasn't been possible to implement yet and rather than delay launching any HDR content at all, they've started with a very small amount of content instead (presumably to tie in with the Sky Nature launch as that type of content is great for showing off the effect of HDR).  As he  says, the process to upgrade from v1 will be implemented as the amount of content increases.

Can you quote the post you're referring to - there's no way otherwise to know what you're claiming is incorrect.

Re: Sky HDR

You need to be crystal clear on what that 'journey' is for v1 owners. At the moment, you're charging customers the same 'ish' price for UHD and people aren't getting the same service. That's a contract breach as some are getting better service than others.

I guess they could refund the amount you're paying for HDR content..

Re: Sky HDR

@rscott  It's not a big issue right now but if this stays as is and you see hundreds of hours of content and eventually movies and sport, would you be happy with that? Sky Q is a premium product and its current being tarnished by a two tier haves/have nots paying the same. Quite simply unfair.

I suspect there's nothing stating anything regarding that in any Sky contract.  It might be what we'd all hope for...

That's exactly  why Sky have said the "intention is to build the upgrade journey in the coming months as we increase the content" .

Asking for a new box, do you think it renews the contract.

Re: Sky HDR

@Chicklet83

You've a V1 2tb box. If you read a little earlier, from Kei, you'll see you can't just ask for another box. The path to replacement boxes will happen in due course.

Re: Sky HDR

So it's not the  tv  then? So it's the sky q box?

No it isn't. What is Sky not providing to you that you agreed it would provide when you signed up? Does your contract say you should get HDR?

How you feel about a subject doesn't change the wording of your contract. This is not a breach of contract.
