@best+of+the+best  still you make no sense. But why take less storage and pay sky for the privilege of removing your storage. Your sky+ will show on your account as that is bought and owned fully by you

@da1e7150  Why does it matter if I have less storage the subscription is still the same my old 1TB Sky HD box had less storage than the Sky Q 1TB so again the storage is not important even my old 2TB Sky +HD had less storage than the Sky Q 2TB and the original Sky box I had when I joined Sky had no storage at all.

I wouldn't pay sky for the privilege if my V2 box developed a fault and no V2 or V3 were available as they had all been allocated to new installs and the box replacement program for those who actually need the storage space and HDR I'd gladly take a 1TB UHD Sky Q box  SKY+ was a free upgrade actually.

If my posts make no sense nobody is forcing you to reply

Re: Sky HDR

@best+of+the+best  the point of the post was somebody has paid 25 pound for the privilege of gaining HDR rather than wait and lose storage space rather than just wait. What you have or do is irrelevant

Re: Sky HDR

@best+of+the+best  sky plus was a free upgrade but you still bought the original box it was sky's good faith to issue a free upgrade it still wasn't loaned to you

Re: Sky HDR

OK, so back to the actual HDR bit. Just sat down to check out the new HDR material. Although I will admit that Lemur Island looks as though it has been chosen to show HDR off at its best I will admit to being impressed. Not something I have often said about Sky.

Initially I was slightly thrown but the lack of an HDR banner others have mentioned. But diving into the menu of my AF9 it showed HDR coming on and off depending on whatI was watching. And going into the HDR mode menu and switching between auto and off confirmed it.

But most telling was even my wife and daughter commented on how much better the pictures were!

Look forward to more material and eventually live channels.

Re: Sky HDR

Well given I have had a perfectly acceptable post removed which gave an honest appraisal of the situation I am out of here. I will say this - I have reverted my UHD resolution back to 1080i and will not be bothering with HDR again for the foreseeable. It's simply not a big enough step up over HD to warrant all the mither. I will stick to Dolby Vision on Netflix.

Re: Sky HDR

@Piesarus , sad they removed your post which no doubt was based on fact. I too have had posts removed by one or two. Easy to know who they are.... HLG etc through Sky clearly never going to happen anytime soon for me. That's fine, as I expect other content carriers to overtake Sky and let's see what happens in the market then

Re: Sky HDR

Do sky ever read these pages to see how customers feel,or do they just not care having taken the money,I've not seen one instance of sky addressing the issue about change of out of date boxes for customers who have been and paid customers for years.i know these are sad times at the moment and everyone safety is paramount but all it would take is a reply from sky about the issue then I'm sure it would satisfy many frustrated customers

They do and they've  even posted in this very thread confirming that a box upgrade process is being worked on, but isn't ready yet.

Re: Sky HDR

So anyone wanting a Sky Q 2Tb V3 (I was V1) just book a online appointment with HDD failure and the lovely Sky engineer replaced it no questions for the new v3 box without the silver strip. Done and dusted. No fee and free can't beat that for

seevice, I booked the appointment on Sunday morning came out Tuesday at 10am as booked.
