Sky Go error 001 on MacBook pro

Hi,

I am trying to set up Sky Go on a MacBook pro, but I am constantly getting the 001 cannot connect error when I try to use it. I downloaded the latest version of the app and still nothing.

I have searched for help on this forum and found nothing of use, seems like other people have my problem but get no useful help either. I have used this app on Windows before and been equally beset with problems, having  to delete some files from the C: drive or something like that. However as I say this is a Mac so I'm not messing  around with my file directory,  and it is absolutely unbelievable that I have to keep doing these technical workarounds for a paid-for service.

There is no firewall or virus protection blocking the app. I am also well within my device limit. Please respond with clear instructions on how I can rectify this error and use the service as it is intended.
