Sky Broadband Outage

Yeah, that's what I thought. Would it still work for phonecalls only or if BB is down is the line pretty much dead too?

Are you on Voip calls with Sky or not? In other words is your telephone connected to the Sky hub or to the telephone socket?

No we aren't. Don't actually have a landline phone connected at all at mo, but Sky did give me a number. Just wondered if it was likely I could make a call if Iplugged in a corded phone that needs no additional power

Yeah you should be able to make a call using a non powered handset then or a powered one if you have UPS. Obviously again that depends if the power outage isnt too severe and hasnt depleated the UPS systems in your local exchange.
