SKY GO Desktop App Won't Load/Open

Mine was fixed with by uninstalling and deleting the old files.  I just couln't press the play button, so nothing would play. 

Fix was unsinatll the application, open explorer (show hidden files) and delete these folders:

C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Sky

C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Sky Go

Note that [your username] is the account you log into windows with.

Thanks to everyone that provided that solution.  Now I can watch the cricket again!

After downloading the App I cant run Skygo on my Lenovo desktop. Still works on my iphone. How's this to be sorted?

Have gone through all the advice re Desktop player app not loading but still can't get it to download.  It goes through all the downloading and at the end a window pops up saying " search Microsoft store for app", when I click on this window it pops up "no app found".  Never had this problem before.  I have always watched footie on my laptop via sky but now I can't

watched sky go up to 4 days ago then stopped working uninstaled on 10 times still no joy blue screen waiting for updates but nothing happens then goes to another blue screen the back to home page any answears

Tried several times,

Deleted Cisco folder, Sky folder and skygo folder, Clear temp files uninstall and reinstall and still coming blank screen. Why BT sports open easily and fast but Sky Black Screen ?

Did you try placing the mouse pointer on edge of black screen till you get arrow then hold the left mouse button and stretch screen to see if Sky Go pops up.

@caesarome  Such a simple solution - thank you! No need to uninstall stuff and do all those other things suggested (many of which I didn't understand because I have no tech knowledge at all).

Same as everyone here. I just got the sky go app. installed. launch. Black screen. And nothing.

I follow the advise I found here : uninstall / delete roaming files (sky and sky go) / reboot / install sky go again. And I got the same result. Again ang again.
Tried to click on the button to enlarge the skygo screen before it shut down. But no. not working.

I have had no luck running the sky go app since it installed an update a few months ago. 

I have tried uninstalling and deleting the files in roaming

I have also tried searching for Cisco, but there are no files on my machine. 

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Hi

i was in same situation  but  last week I was searching for sky go extra  via sky tv website and accidentally I downloaded skygo , reinstalled it & now it's working fine. Some times I don't understand  these technology.

Also try doing this.....

open sky go, once black screen comes, take your mouse curser on top of sky go horizontal, like we do to enlarge picture, see if that help.

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately it didnt work for me - I expanded the screen, but still it disappears shortly after 'checking for updates'
