Viewing Card Not Authorised

hello i'm having the same problem - whatever i record on catchup won't play and sends me to an error message SPC10 saying it can't play the recordig and then telling me to check my card is inserted (it is). pause works fine. can you help? thanks

This thread relates to a 'viewing card not authorised' error message. Is that the error message you're seeing?

it says 'We cannot play this recording' and tells me to press the yellow button for help with the SPC10 in the top right hand corner. 

when i press the yellow button, i get a message saying 'This service is currently unavailable. Please check your Sky viewing card is inserted and try again later' with an OK button and no other information.

Do you have Sky+, not Sky Q?

This error is a Sky+ HD error, have you replaced your box with this one recently? Perhaps someone has given you their old box?

Ultimately what ever the answer I think the only solution will be to go into the hidden menu and format the hard drive.
