Puck won’t turn on

My puck will never turn on without me having to unplug it and plug it back in again. Even then I have to do this 3 or 4 times. Once it's on I have no problem until the following day when I want to turn it in again.

Check in Settings Menu - Standby and start up that the Overnight power saving is set to off

Re: Puck won’t turn on

I'm assuming no one knows of a solution to this or there is currently no fix?  I can't figure out how to stop it doing this.  Thanks.

Other than the usual power down process, no.   There is an update due but don't know what fixes it will address.

Re: Puck won’t turn on

I think the pucks are generally useless, looking at the various posts on here since launch I haven't seen any positive posts at all.

Yes, I understand that this forum typically attracts negatives only but the pucks are crap.

Q mini boxes were exactly the same when they launched. Sky are probably scrambling to find a way to get them fixed and stable but it seems it may be more difficult than first thought.

Re: Puck won’t turn on

Thankyou for your speedy reply, I really hope the update will sort it.  I have emailed a complaint as it is as good as unusable.  Thanks.

Re: Puck won’t turn on

Someone from Sky rung me, I think I was being to impatient, we figured over the phone to press the power button just once on the remote for no more than about 1 second and then wait. After about 10 seconds (maybe a touch longer) the light comes on the puck, then I press the power button for 3 seconds and the TV comes on. I must do the same process when I'm finished otherwise the puck gets stuck in a "you've moved away from your TV" mode when it's turned on the next day.
