Problems with Manchester United v Burnely match with built-in Amazon Prime app
I'm watching the Man Utd v Burnley match using the built-in Amazon prime app and the picture 'pulses' intermittently every few seconds, I don't lose the picture it just flashes slightly brighter for a fraction of a second then goes back to normal. There is no particular pattern, it might flash 2 or 3 times in 5 seconds, every 4 -5 seconds a few times, then go 10-15 seconds before it happens again.
I've switched to watching on my Cube for a few minutes and not a single glitc h, switched back to the built-in app and the pulsing continues,
Anyone else experiecing the same problem?

Re: Problems with Manchester United v Burnely match with built-in Amazon Prime app
That's good to know.
I had no issues during the pre-match show and it's been fine on other Amazon content, it's just happening during this match, which is why I swapped to the Fire TV Cube where it was fine, in case it was a broadcast issue, but since you aren't seeing the same problem that rules that out.
Strange, wonder why it's limited, as far as we know, to my setup!

Same issues on mine. Having to watch through fire stick.
You'll find some never have a problem with anything.

Ah, thank you for replying, good to know it's not just me.
I also found that the picture was slightly better off the Cube, sharper!

I'm experiencing exactly the same issue when watching the game on Glass TV, but it's fine on my macbook?

Yep. Much better through the Amazon hardware.
Tried it on a Sony TV through the app on that and it's fine. Just glass.
Standard reply is it's either your broadband or it's a new product so you have to accept these issues 🤣
Thankfully have a firestick

Re: Problems with Manchester United v Burnely match with built-in Amazon Prime app
That's interesting, that you experienced the same issue on Sky Q, and yet other users on Sky Glass say their picture was perfect!
So, we have:
- SOME Glass users experienced problems with the match, others didn't...
- All users who tried watching on an Amazon device, report no problems
- A user watching on a MacBook had no problems but did with the built-in Amazon Prime app
- One user had the same problem with Sky Q...
- One user reported that they had watched previous matches without problems, it was limited to the Man Utd match
- It appears that the issue wasn't a broadcast issue as several users had no problems on other devices, only with the Glass and Sky Q app...
- I watched some of the replay of the match on the built-in Glass Amazon Prime app and there wasn't a single glitch
So, the logical conclusion seems to be that there were problems with the 'live' streaming of the match by Sky for 'some' users but not all, why???

Re: Problems with Manchester United v Burnely match with built-in Amazon Prime app
@joemit Amazon Prime streams will vary due to the routing to your router and be acffected by any interference in your home so variability is unfortunately unavoidable even if Amazon are doing everything perfectly. Going by the reports issues can happen on any equipment so this is not a Glass issue as such. Amazon seem better now than they were when they started streaming live sport but a very popular mstch might still stress their systems in the UK
Where you have a poor feed try disconnecting and reconnecting. Amazon have multiple feeds so you may get a better connection. The more popular the match the greater the risk of issues unfortunately

Re: Problems with Manchester United v Burnely match with built-in Amazon Prime app
I still don't understand how this is NOT a Sky Glass issue, not one single user reported any issues when they switched from Glass to another device, Amazon Cube in my case, Fire TV sticks, a MacBook but did experience problems with Glass.
I switched between Glass and Cube at least half a dozen times during the match and powered off the Glass TV at half time, each time restablishing a connection. Not once didn I have a problem except on the Glass TV.
My two sons both watched at their homes, one using the built-in Amazon app on an LG Tv and the other using a Fire TV 4K stick, neither experienced any issues. The son watchng on the 4K stick lives in the middle of a farm in a very rural area, he feels lucky to have a 25 - 30Mbps connection, on a good day, yet his connection was fine.
If Amazon's systems were strectched then why wouldn't users experience problems on all devices, not just Glass, which is the only common deniominator reported so far?

@joemit I have the same issue watching Bosch on Prime through SkyGlass but not through Apple TV. Issue first appeared a few weeks ago but was resolved with software update. Issue has resurfaced now software update has been withdrawn.

Re: Problems with Manchester United v Burnely match with built-in Amazon Prime app
That's very interesting, so once again it appears not to be a network issue but a Glass issue, which has been the experience reported by other users.
Hopefully Sky will pick this up as something which needs to be addressed in a future software update.
