Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box
We have a group of people still looking into this but we're yet to uncover anything which can happen with intermittent problems like this but I've passed on the pictures and other observations which are helpful.
We're working on the assumptions that this only occurs when watching recordings on the Sky Q Mini, if you have other symptoms we'd suggest you attempt the normal steps to try and fix your issue as the first port of call.
Thanks,
Kei

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box
Thank you - it really needs sorting a lot of us are quite able and no that this issue must be a blip somewhere in the system/software as we have been using Sky Q since day 1 and obviously are now quite good at rectifying issues but this issue cannot be resolved by full equipment replacement, rearranging equipment, turning off WiFi channels etc etc

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box
Thanks for the update @Kei+M
I understand it can be tricky to identfy intermittent issues however this issue occurs every night on our Sky minis. The program source does seem to be key with only programs from certain channels causing the issue.
A good test would be to allow some of us to roll our software back to the previous version temporarily to see if the issue is indeed software related.

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box
The booster makes the whole set up worse in my case causes loss of connection issues on mini boxes, works fine without it other than pixelated recordings and on demand, but Netflix, Prime work fine also sky movies.

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box
Sky, can I suggest that you try an ITV HD recording if you need to replicate the fault. The early evening soaps (Emmerdale and Coronation Street) show the problem every time

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box
If it helps, BBC, HD, ITV HD and Channel 4 HD all have the issue regularly for me

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box
Thanks for picking up on the issues and hopefully we will see and get to the root cause. Will leave it in your hands sky.

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box
I agree with the Channel choice. It really kicked off when watching back recordings of "I am a celebrity ...." from ITVHD
The centre of the screen was the most common area to pixelate eg faces

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box
I believe, correct me if I am wrong but 2.4 and 5hz only needs turning off on the main sky q box if it's hard wired to the sky hub and a mini box if it's hard wired

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box
@Kei+M Thanks for the update, this issue is an everyday occurrence for me and yes it's only recordings/downloads affected.
BT Sport, ITV and Channel 4 seem to be the worse for me but downloads of only fools on gold have also shown the problem.
