Hi @beejayf
It seems that the eARC port is number 3 not 2 as many TVs use (but it is labelled as eARC anyway)
I managed to get slightly confused by the manuals/guides - I suspect one I looked at was generic - it referred to a an 8K HDMI but the other implied all ports were just 4K.
If you do have one labelled as 8K that is what I was referring to as HDMI 2.1 (i.e can be used but available for other higher spec'd equipement)
Oh and yes you need to set the port used to Enhanced

Re: Optimum HDMI to connect Sky Q to Sony OLED 4k TV.
hi @beejayf I don't have a Sony but I suspect they are like most other OLED TVs
Any HDMI port is likely to be OK but 2 things - generally most TVs use HDMI 2 for the ARC/eARC port so that is aimed at Sound Bars/ AV equipment rather than other inputs (but if you don't have any or plan to use it for Sound out then it can be used for SKY input)
Also if your TV has a limited number of HDMI 2.1 ports - that higher spec is not needed for SKY Q as it will work in HDMI 2..0 (again can be used but the higher spec are targetted at games machines etc)
Whichever HDMI Port you do use, make sure it set to Enhanced (I think that is the term for Sony's) to make sure it will work for 4K/HDR
If you want more specific advice maybe quote the model
