One last question. Is there a guide as to how we set up these routers with sky hub? Or is this something which we shouldn't discuss here (being sky forums)?

Are you superfast fttc or ultrafast fttp ?
With superfast fttc your options would be to disable wifi on sky hub and put the asus into access point mode
Or buy a tp link td w9970 modem bridge (£35)
Instructions for setting up tp link td w9970 as modem bridge
select sky vdsl from isp list
https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/faq/1332/
.With fttp the asus will replace the sky hub
