Another oddity. Great Pottery Throw Dow. I have it on series link, but every week, there are 2 recordings from the same time and the same channel

The two recordings will be due to Channel 4 launching regional versions of their HD channel recently. You have a recording from the original national version of Channel 4 HD and the new regional version. Only the adverts will differ.

It's not related to the current metadata issues that are causing non-stacking recordings, but I expect a lot more reports of these double recordings over the coming weeks as the BBC launches HD regions in England, and people get recordings from the national BBC One HD and the new regional versions.

So its a different metadata isue - or poor system design where a series link cant differentiate between channels

Ideally the system would realise it's the same programme on the same channel and not record both versions but it doesn't. For anyone with this duplicate recording problem with Channel 4 HD, It should be possible to solve by deleting the affected programme from scheduled recordings, (there will be two entries, remove the series link from both and then delete the scheduled recordings) then re-schedule the recording.

Re: Non stacking again

Same here and thumbnails coming and going, mostly going.

Why can't Sky sort these problems out? Been happening for 6 months now.

Re: Non stacking again

Glad someone else has noticed it too.  It was so nice when they all stacked in one place!

@Anonymous @Sophielegs is it 1 particular channel or multiple channels and what channels may help know what channel/s it is 😁

ITV1 not stacking for me. The missing thumbnails are totally random over a lot of channels, also can be there one day then disappear then come back then disappear again.

Series links are also acting strangely on some channels, mostly Drama and Sky Arts. Have tried usual reboots and resets but hasn't helped. Could, of course, be the broadcaster.

Re: Non Stacking of Recordings - Better but not solved!

@Anonymous  @Chloe-W22 @Kirsty+S27

i received my weekly call a couple of days ago  from the Executive Team to advise me that there had been a fix for these ongoing issues.  It had been implemented st the end of last week on your end.

I followed the advise given ( which is what I have been doing anyway for weeks now)

I watched the series that were causing the issues.

I permanently deleted those episodes from the box (as has become my habit)

I then went into the planner and removed the series link for the next episodes, then deleted that future episode for each one ...

then I set up the episodes that I had just deleted and waited for Sunday recordings to occur ..

This morning (today Monday) I checked the planner for next Sunday  ... The episodes STILL having missing tiles for the following week  and are not showing on

'this week' again

ITV  1 HD       Dancing in ice 6:25pm

Ch 4 HD.       The great pottery throwdown

                         7:45pm

Incidentally, also recorded  on the same evening ... The following progs  recorded okay, the series link for this Sunday has  'more episodes'  and the tiles are in place.

So I think that these two progs will series link okay

please look into this Kirsty and Chloe

ITV 1 HD.               Vera.    8:00pm

BBC1 London      Happy Valley  9:00pm

Many Thanks

Sky q non stacking total mess

This non stacking is back worse than ever.  Recorded episodes from old EastEnders and all out of order hard to find the one you want   it's really not good enough what's happened?  For 2 weeks been perfect????  Yesterday stacked on different tiles.  It's utter madness and fair we pay a lot for this so called service

Re: Non Stacking of Recordings - Better but not solved!

For the first time in months, tonight's Coronation Street on ITV1 (I'm in Dorset in case region matters) is a blank thumbnail and is not stacking. I mean the position within the stack has been consistently poor (episodes in the wrong order / some in the 'other' group), but at least they've been stacked.

This issue seems to be getting worse over time and not better. At least at one point we had weekly updates on here and a sense that things were moving forward. Could one of the Sky team please restart those updates and commit to engagement with us here until the issue is fully solved? It's not as if things didn't work fine historically here, so expecting the same again really isn't too much to ask.

Agreed @Chloe-W22  @Kirsty+S27

Clearly the fix applied as reported by executive team is not a solution.
