New Sky Q box stuck on standby

Hi all,

 

I had Sky TV installed for the first time last weekend but ever since I have had issues with the box, it will freeze and turn itself off after watching for an hour or two and won't turn on again unless you switch it off/on again at the mains! 

I have tried doing the reset through the hidden menu but this has only worked for an hour or so and then the issue repeats. Has anyone experienced this issue before or have any suggestions? I'm hoping it's not the case of needing a new box!

Which reset did you do? Settings Reset or full factury reset?

  • Last weekend is a long time ago, I would have been on the phone for Sky advice or to get an engineer back to sort it.
Passing on the tips I have learned in over 25 years as a more than satisfied Sky customer.
