I have been casually watching The Shield which I downloaded some time ago. There are 7 seasons to watch. Last week I received the notification on screen that I had 30 days left to watch it. I was only halfway through S3, so I'm now having to binge-watch, sometimes 4 episodes a day, to make sure I can finish it in time. This means I don't have time to watch other shows I want to.
Could the warning be changed to 60 days instead? This would be much better.

Can someone explain to me why this post has been moved to the What's On board? I originally posted it on the Sky Q Ideas board which is where it belongs ( I have since reposted it on that board ). I am new on here, is this how things work as I don't appreciate it?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Mr+Ripley You are right, it is very illogical that Sky Q only tells you within 30 days. I see no reason why it doesn't always have the expiry date visible like Sky+HD does.
As you now know, The Shield expires in 6 days time. I've just checked on my Sky +HD box, as sometimes you can download shows to the box and it won't then auto-delete. Unfortunately, that's not the case with The Shield, any episodes downloaded will be deleted on the 29th.

@oj01 Thank you for the info. It has now changed on my Sky Q box from a 30 day warning to Expires Tuesday, 12.00 am. I'm on the final season so will hopefully finish at the weekend. I also found out that it expires from Amazon on the same day.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIf you find a series with lots of seasons that you want to watch, and you're starting from scratch, you should always assume it won't last long. You should also assume it hasn't just appeared too and has been available for a while.
A show's licence can be anything from three months to two years, so always err on the side of caution and watch methodically rather than casually.
Also, series come back on box sets all the time so the chances are you'd not need to wait long for any series to return.
