Re: Live TV: There's a technical fault with the channel/Please wait for the programme to load

Hope I'm not speaking too soon but mine seems to be working properly. Normally I have to restart 10-15 times a day but today every sky channel has worked throughout multiple shows and adverts. Maybe the problem wasn't QS017 and actually something on Sky's side and they've managed to fix it?

@StoopR

1 in the bedroom went off at 9am and 1 in the mancave went off an hour ago for the 4th time today this is a joke, I'm luckily in my cooling off period so I'll be getting rid, hopefully you'll have success 🤞

@StoopR Maybe you are lucky and have already been updated to QS017.005.02P which started to rollout last night. This is specific to pucks and should resolve some of the recent issues.

You can check at Settings > system management and look at the build version.

@amagluglug an minor update specific for Stream pucks  (QS017.005.02P) started to be rolled out last night which seems to be fixing some of the current crop of faults puck issues.  The roll out will of course take a few days to complete so it a question of waiting with fingers crossed.

Re: Live TV: There's a technical fault with the channel/Please wait for the programme to load

I had the same issue with the Sky Puck, the same messages. It was annoying. I solved the problem using an ethernet cable direct from your router to the TV, Its works fine. The WiFi alone doesnt seem strong enough to  work with the Puck even with a decent signal.or speed.

Brand new customer to Sky from Virgin Media where their Stream product is actually good and works. Came to Sky as more channels available albeit £29 monthly rather than £8 (actually VM take 10% off as well fir customers so £7.20).

Anyway got 1gbps broadband and wifi ax in greenfield site getting around 470mbps upstairs.

Plagued by random Technical trouble with the channel and Please wait for the channel to load on my new Sky Stream puck.

Software version is QS017.005.00P

Is there any way to ask for feature requests to Sky Stream too?

That's not either of the most recent releases.

It's what it updated to 5 days ago when it was new from Sky. Doesn't seem to be an option in Settings to Check For Updates.

Sky says:

To run a software update:

  1. Switch the Sky Glass or Sky Stream puck to standby.
  2. Switch it off at the mains and unplug it.
  3. Plug it back in and switch it back on at the mains.
  4. Leave the Sky Glass or Sky Stream puck powered on for 30 minutes.
  5. After 30 minutes, switch the Sky Glass or Sky Stream puck to standby again.
  6. Switch it off at the plug and switch it back on again. There’s no need to unplug it this time.
  7. Press the Home button on the Sky remote.

After a few seconds, the Sky logo will show on screen as the TV or Sky Stream puck starts back up. The software version will now be updated to the latest version.

Mine is now showing QS017.005.02P.

Looks like there has been an update.  Thinking about it I've had no issues at all today 🤔
