Hello everyone,
I am looking for a new ISP and I can only install using cable broadband because I do not have a phone socket installed on my property. IS sky using cable broadband or fiber broadband?
Thanks very much.

If you mean coaxial cable, no-one but Virgin uses that.

Re: Is Sky using cable broadband or fibre broadband?
Sky is fibre optic to the cabinet (copper to the house) or fibre to the premises. Just because cable was installed previously doesn't mean you can't have fibre.

Re: Is Sky using cable broadband or fibre broadband?
It's worth noting that if you order broadband from another ISP, part of the process would be installing the appropriate data bearer: either a copper 'phone' line and Openreach socket or a fibre-optic cable and Openreach ONT (or possibly 'private' fibre and optical terminator from a smaller full-fibre operator). Typically this doesn't come with any additional cost, but you do need to be in a position to consent to the required drilling.
