Internet Phone

Why is it that when the phone line is disconnected from the router the internet goes off, the other problem we have is that my son's games console freezes constantly whilst in the middle of a game.

Never had a problem with previous IP, but theres always some niggle

Do you mean when you disconnect the phone from the router or when you unplug the phone line from the router?

Is your son using a console over WiFi or ethernet?

Re: Internet Phone

When the phone line (only) is disconnected from the router, the whole Internet disconnects momentarily

Any particular reason you are disconnecting and reconnecting the phone line? Its designed to be left in

Re: Internet Phone

As we originall had 4 phone lines and a Fax machine we have to unplug the phone to use theFax Machine until we manage to get a splitter
