How can I purchase an additional Sky Q mini box?

Hi @redjas  If you call SKY ignore the initial messages, and hold on the line to talk to an advisor!

Incidentally you do not buy the mini boxes, you pay an initial fee for each box required, they are still the property of SKY

call and follow the path to cancel part of your service and hang on the line towards the end of that path and you will get to talk to someone and then let them know you are not cancelling just wanting to order an extra mini box and they will sort you out.

Thanks for your response, have just spoken to a very nice man at Sky who tried to get a mini box for me, but he couldn't do it either so he put me through to sales. The phone rang a recorded message said "sales were not available" and the line went dead.

This fault with the ability to buy through the Sky Q box must be costing them a fortune.

Come on Sky, sort it out.

After attempting to contact them via phone, with no luck I went through the complaints process on their website and they got back to me within the hr and organised for someone to call me back this morning bang on 9.30 as requested.  They did pass me aboiut a bit BUT I did get my box ordered.  They know the process on ordering these via your Sky box is not working so why they have not got this fixed is beyond me!  Anyway, I was going to post the link here to their complaints and I've noticed they have sinced changed it and are forcing complaints through their telephone lines now, and not via the online form.  Maybe they will change this back at some point.... here is their complaints page if this helps

I have also been trying for over a week to purchase another minibox, but also tried to cards , very frustrating if you ring they say unless your NHS or a key worker go online or through the TV either way unable to order, been with Sky over 20 years disappointed.

@NannyDiv56  Just keep ringing Sky following the "I want to change/cancel my contract" route until you get a helpful operative.

@KJohnB seems there is a problem with card payments online as you have found out only other way is to call Sky

The standard Sky Q box has 1TB storage, the ability to record three things at once and watch a fourth, and you can also stream to one tablet; both boxes also act as a Wi-Fi hotspot. The Sky Q premium 2TB box ups the storage, lets you record six things and also watch a seventh. And you can stream to two tablets

@Gerry63 depends on what 1 TB box you compare the original 1TB is as @SarahJ1234 states but the newer 1TB UHD is exactly the same as the 2TB except the 2TB box has 1TB more storage
