Full 1gig fibre

Does anybody know if sky will be offering the full 1gig fibre?

There is no mention of it yet from the powers that be.

 

Sky piloted its 150Mbps in june 2020'ish and 500Mbps in july 2021 if that offers any glimpse of a timescale. However i have my doubts we will be hearing about it anytime soon

There's no obligation for any ISP to resell a particular speed band: it all comes down to marketing cost vs profit margin.

I think we'll see a gigabit product launch when Sky release a WiFi 6/E router.

@cookiemonsteruk  My wifi is wifi 6 (Draytek you understand) 🙂

@cookiemonsteruk I bet some do in busy households. However, my SR203 maxes my 500Mb connection out through three walls and 15m distance - maybe I need to get my cats an iPad each 😂
