Re: Dexter has gone!

Various CBS/Showtime/Paramount programmes expired on 1st Jan as ViacomCBS have taken back the rights. They will be available on Paramount+ when it launches later this year (free for Sky CInema subscribers).

To avoid future disappointment it's worth checking the expiry dates which are always shown on screen.

Re: Dexter has gone!

Same here! Late to the party but started watching over the Christmas holidays got to season 2 episode 11 and it's gone!!! I'm gutted and annoyed 😒

Re: Dexter has gone!

Yes I have read the posts about expiry dates but unless you have come across this issue of series disappearing why would you think to check? Just download and watch. I now check obviously but previously I didn't know about an expiry date so I've never checked.

@BorderReiver

There was a warning, a person posted here in sSeptember that they were due to expire at the end of the year.

It does show on sky q when there is 30 days before something expires

Unfortunately I suspect many viewers discover it by experience. At least you know now. However, warning is given.

Re: Dexter has gone!

Do you mean warning is given if you look for the date? As you rightly say I'd imagine most only find out through a bad experience. I would like to see a message on the download page warning of imminent removal of the series or an "ending soon" tag on the episodes or series.

Re: Dexter has gone!

Ah ok. Tbh I only really use this forum when I have an issue so I didn't see that warning. I am also still using an HD box so wouldn't see that either. Cheers.

There is a warning on the downloads page, this is Sky+

And this is Sky Q where you get a 30 day countdown:

Re: Dexter has gone!

I have seen that now but I started watching months ago (8 series is a lot to get through!) and it downloads the next episode automatically so I never had to go back to that page so never noticed the imminent removal, I'm sure most people would be in the same situation. I now know to look but I still want to watch the missing episodes haha.

Re: Dexter has gone!

For those on Sky Q, there is a solution to the expiring On Demand content. Download and install the Sky+ app to your phone and/or tablet. Then you can look up something before you begin watching something from On Demand and see when it is due to expire.

You cannot see when or if something is due to expire from Downloads unless it's due to expire 30 days or less. However, if you see from On Demand that something is due to expire in 30 days or less and you download it and see no expiry date, you know you'll have 31 days or more. But chances are, you'll have a good amount of time or it won't expire.

Re: Dexter has gone!

Do sky employees monitor this forum as it would be nice to know if dexter will come back or not or will be on another channel.  Something official would be nice and we will all know where we stand instead of being in limbo.

@ukvet63

There are a few people from Sky on here, they are identified as such when you see them post.
