Thanks for your somewhat abrupt reply.

I know this is a customer forum, I thought perhaps "Chloe-W22" could pass on my query when she read it.

A reply giving you the facts is not abrupt 😞 🙄

@GD1  The email address you provided is not valid but thank you for your help.

(I did try NBC News themselves - this forum was my LAST resort . . .   The email to them bounced back too, even though I used a link on their own website!)

Re: Changes to the Sky TV guide - March 2022

NBC News Now HD is now live on Sky on channel 525. It is HD only.

Can anyone with an HD compatible Sky box and no HD subscription view NBC News Now?

Heads up that on the 31st March, MTV Base and Classic will be replaced with UK versions of MTV 80s and 90s.

I got a feeling (just like fans of MTV Rocks, like myself, from 2020) fans of black music will not be happy about this news.

It's very simple. MTC asked itself: What music channels are doing well and how can we adapt to that market? NOW80s and NOW90s are popular and MTV wanted to cash in. It's really just a removal of MTV Base as MTV Classic was already showing 80s and 90s stuff.

As that link makes clear, they now think having a separate channel for 'black music' looks rather dated...

Since its launch in 1999, MTV Base has been a fantastic platform for introducing and establishing some of the biggest acts in RnB, rap, grime and more into UK contemporary culture at a time when these genres were still considered ‘niche’.

Music of Black origin now holds a broad appeal for a variety of fans across the UK, so we have refined our music channels to reflect how these genres have been integrated into mainstream playlists more generally.
