You do seem to have an irrational hatred of all things SD... 😆

That'll be for the BBC to decide. They may want to keep the SD broadcasts as there are still a reasonable number of people using non HD receivers (both Sky+ and free to air)
There's no reason to keep the SD broadcasts for Sky. The Sky Q box can show BBC in 720p or 1080i depending on the TV in use. Can Sky+ downscale HD to SD?

BBC is complaining about the licence fee freeze. I'm just trhinking of a way for BBC to save money.
Is that really your job? I'm sure the BBC have many well paid employees that have the task of saving them money
You just seem to have an unhealthy obsession with HD/UHD 😞

Heard it all before in your former guise, and you're still banging the same tedious drum.

There are about 11 million households watching on satellite - about 2.5m of them aren't Sky subscribers. Not of all those have HD receivers.
Oh and Sky still have quite a number of subscribers with Sky+ (non HD) boxes, so there is still a need for SD broadcasts.

Just to let you know a "TV day" is from 06:00 to 05:59. (+1 channels 07:00 to 06:59).
Also, the EPG may not be updated until tomorrow afternoon or a bit later.

Well, if the Sky One to Sky Showcase/Max was anything to go by, it will be late morning.
