So I was of some who had enough of some of the Glass issues and was going to send back and revert to my normal tv.
After much thought I am going to keep glass. My puck has become much more stable over the past couple of days.
My HDMI is now working properly. I really have three issues left.
1. HDR UHD being too dark (sky may be able to make some tweaks to this via a software update or make a second steam available without HDR) although I suspect the limitations of the panel, will restrict much improvement. I have accepted this
2. Enhanced Experience- doesn't work at all. I expect this to be resolved with a software update
3. Playlist - I like many aspects of the playlist, the ability to be able to group different apps together in place is great. The downside is the inability to choose whether you save to the cloud or view via app. I hope/think that sky will listen to customers feedback here and introduce this.
4. Discounts - as a new product Customers are paying full whack at the moment. I fully expect sky to bring in retention offers, even though it's a 30 day contract. They offer this on Now Tv which is also a 30 day contract. I suspect that the discounts will not be on the main pack but on extras like sports, movies and kids as they know that the Glass TV isn't much use with no subscription at all, so I feel they are unlikely to reduce the base subscription package.

That's because he started off with just one issue but every time he finished typing he'd remember another 🙂

Are you trying to convince yourself or other people?
Regarding discounts - there is nothing whatsoever to say that will happen. It's wishful thinking on your part, seemingly part of your trying to accept that the TV is good and will serve you well. It probably won't.
Packages are 31-day rolling contracts for a premium service. Now is wholly different - and marketed at a different market. Just because they offer discounts doesn't mean Sky will. For the immediate future at least, if somebody doesn't want to pay full price, they can cancel it and not pay from the next month.

I doubt that this will change anytime soon, as it's largely outside Sky's control. Content providers like ITV, ch4, etc. will always want you to use their app so they can promote their content and gather usage data.

You might want to wait until we have a sunny day before making a deicision re the brightness of the TV, as that's what you're going to be dealing with though most of the spring and summer when the days are longer and the sun is out. And as with all panels, they only get dimmer as time goes on.
