Sky broadband fibre is being installed this week I know about the box outside the house that's being installed however where we have our sky router normally is upstairs and isn't all easily accessible from outside, when the installer installs our fibre ONT will they offer to run the cable from outside up the house through walls to my desired router location or will I have to run an external cable myself?

It depends on the installer. Some are happy to go through internal walls, others aren't. It's best to have tea and biscuits on hand to sweeten the deal!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreYou can't install fibre yourself: it's a contiguous run all the way to the ONT and only Openreach personnel are permitted to handle it as it's their network (and doesn't like corners). You can, if you wish, run your own ethernet to go from the ONT (which will typically be on the ground floor and ideally on an outside wall) to wherever you want the Hub to be located.
