Both Q Boxes' WiFi are off. Will this affect Sky Go.

Slightly confused as to whether or not Sky Go will work when soon both of our Q boxes' WiFi will be switched off; due to both boxes going to be setup as wired through Powerline Adapters. Our walls are so thick that boosters and extenders are struggling with the Sky Mini feature. Powerline Adapters are only saving grace now.

Now I know that the Sky Go app needs WiFi to connect to the Main Q box to get ALL channels available live. Just curious if the Sky Go app will get ALL channels if my iPad cannot connect to the Main Q Box via WiFi.

Thanks

That is correct because the app has to be connected to the main Sky Q box for you to be able to view any live channel.

The Sky Go app will not get ALL channels if it is not connected to the Sky Q box, it will get those channels that are available via the app only, so you would be able to view the BBC channels live as an example but would be able to Sky Movies and BT and Sky Sports channels amongst others.

So having both Q Boxes' WiFi switched off, it wouldnt be possible to get ALL channels?

Thank you.

Finally, so if both Q boxes are wired via Powerline Adapters, and yet I leave the Main Q Box WiFi on, that wouldnt affect anything no? Just wanted seamless wired connection for the Main & Mini box (so no lag/interruptions/dropouts happen) and for all Sky Go features to work. 🙂

I am no expert on powerline adapters but as long as the app can connect to the main Q box then you will get all live channels via the app.
