Binge watching

Why can't I download all episodes of a series when they say it is available. It was ok a couple of months ago. Tthe series' I've tried are The bay, No return and the Responder  (which doesn't apply now as it's finished!) When I try to download I get "Sorry, this item is no longer available" and it is because they say it straight after the eisodes finishes. Nothing has been changed on my settings so can't understand why.

The problem is due to ITV not releasing future episodes of various series  - only the ones that have already been shown - even though they are available on the ITV Hub App on other platforms

The error message you are getting is due to a quirk that in Scotland viewers get STV catch up and not ITV & STV have made the future episodes available but elsewhere where we rely on ITV it is not available. SKY Q thinks the episode is available initially but when you click on the link you get the confusing error message because it is not available to those not in Scotland

There are various discussions on The Bay & others - here is one of them:

Re: Binge watching

The Bay and No Return are on ITV and they seem to have stopped making full series available on Sky.

The Responder is on BBC and the full series has definitely been available on Sky since the first episode aired so not sure why you can't download it.

Re: Binge watching

@nigea99 thank you for the explanation but that doesn't apply to 2 of my friends who've watched all of The Bay  a couple of weeks ago, they could download it. I suppose I'll just have to wait.

They could have watched The Bay from the iTV Hub app on their TV.

I am in Scotland and I can confirm what @nigea99 has posted is correct.
