BT Sport not working on Sky+ HD box

I pay Sky to supply BT Sport but all I get is the blue screen with no satellite signal message displayed. Why does this happen? I have turned the box off, tightened the wires,  hanged HDMI cables etc but with no improvement.

 

Any ideas ?

No satellite signal problems are the result of a fault with your dish setup - probably a slight dish misalignment. If you book an engineer, they'll investigate and put it right.

Thanks for that info. How much does an engineer visit cost? My equipment isnt on a maintenance scheme.

Sky charge £65 for their standard call out, though you don't have to use them, you can get a 3rd party aerial/dish installer to do the work but sky are usually cheaper

Would it not be cheaper and better to upgrade to Sky Q and if we are still getting problems then Sky would come and fix it for free?

Upgrading to Sky Q usually costs more than £65 unless you are lucky enough to get a special offer from Sky, give them  a call and see what they can offer you

@Treacletown Whilst you are correct that the 'fix' would be free if you had Sky Q (in fact it would be fixed at installation if you told the engineer about it), I wouldn't use it as a reason to upgrade. Make sure you are aware of it the differences between Sky +HD and Sky Q as it's not everyone's favorite. Of course, if it's something you've already considered and were going to do, then, Yes, may as well combine the two.
