Are Basic Tv customer's blocked from 'upgrades' to use free Apps?

Hi, so I get an email from Sky telling me Peacock tv has landed and all free. Super except to access you need to add to your tv package. Any time I try to do this via red button I get an error and can add.

Is this because TV upgrades (even free ones) are blocked if you are a Basic TV package customer?

Disappointing  if that is the case 😕

If you don't have On Demand and/or Box sets then you'll not be able to access Peacock

I see...hidden in the small print somewhere no doubt.

Wish they wouldn't send me emails then teasing me 😞 Same Craig with Disney+ free for a year...not (for me).

I'm just guessing due to the type of content Peacock is, it's not a standard channel and the Basic Package is IIRC Freesat with the addition of recording

Nope...just tried it and you need an Entertainment  pass  😞

Shouldn't be surprised really...

I thought you needed an Ent Pass to use the basic features of NOW isn't the stick useless without a pass?

@movielover Nobody with a Sky+ Box can watch Disney+ (or Discovery+) as they are Apps, which can't run on a Sky+ Box. Peacock, however, is free to anyone who has a subscription which includes On Demand access.
