trying to reopen a new sky account is a joke

I tried to open an account with Sky online, at the end it told me to call. I called the number and the stupid Bot sent me billing infrmation - I haven't had a SKY account in 8 years.  I then checked this notice board and there seems to be no help what so ever.

Seriously  Sky - why do you make it hard for me to part with my month cash! forget it, i'll open an account with someone who's happy to take my business.

Hello, reactive Sky. I eventually called the number, was put through to 3 different department and I must say the customer service has fallen from grace.

I recall when Sky had excellent customer service, it was seriously one of the best out there.

I didn't reactivate simply because the call handler tried to charge me more that the web offers. Disgraceful really.

@PeteRGJ   As you left Sky and then returned after being away for more than a year then your account will have been closed as you have discovered so you will need to set up a new Sky ID.

If you want to use the same email address then you need to remove it from the old account first as this will then free it up allowing it to be used when setting your new ID up. You can do this by logging into the old account here:

https://www.sky.com/myaccount/my-details

Then delete the email address by providing another one and logout of this account, this will then free it up to use when setting up your new Sky ID:

https://www.sky.com/help/diagnostics/sky-id/sky-id

You should then be able to sign up for the new offers online.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Re: trying to reopen a new sky account is a joke

Thanks for the information, however when I was put throughout to the 3rd department, this was the renewals team. If the account was over a year why was I put through to this team and why wasn't I informed of this?

Again, this just highlights the poor service for new / existing customers.
