switching from BT to Sky

I was told by the sales person that Sky would buy out the remaining 3 months of my BT contract and Sky would liaise with BT. BT have now informed me the ywill asking for payment via my DD of the  remaining contracted months Why have Sky  not sorted out this payment with BT as promised?

@DannyM1 The agent you spoke to has been a little loose with the truth, Sky offer a credit for switching services but you have to pay the fees first and then claim it back as an account credit.

Re: switching from BT to Sky

Many thanks for your clarifications of the process I did, in fact, manage to reach a SKY representative who explained the process and provided this link. Still, as you say, the sales rep promised they would sort out all these transfer costs and did not explain the process, making you wonder what else they did not tell you. Interestingly, I have now had BT come back to me and offer to match the Sky package offer. I also promised to maintain the fee level  WHEN fibre is available. The issue is when! And they are still £7 a month dearer than Sky ... if there are no hidden extra costs !!
