still registered with sky 10 years after leaving and cannot join as new customer

I left Sky over 10 years ago but I ma now looking to return.  I try to join on line but everytime I get through all the choicesa nd come to complete it says I have an account already so I have to sign in.  When I try to do this it just keeps saying 'Oops' and asks me to start again.  This loop just continues.  Anyone know how to resolve this? TIA

The account you previously had will have been long since closed so you will need to logout of it and sign up as a new customer and thus setting up a new one during the ordering process.

 

If you want to use the same email address then you need to first remove it from the old account first so log into the old account here:


https://www.sky.com/myaccount/my-details


Then delete the email address by providing another one and logout of this account, this will then free it up to use when setting up your new Sky ID.

@Mickc21 you need to make sure you aren't logged into your previous account when placing the order and use a different email address unless you remove it from the old account first 

 

If you left Sky and are rejoining after more than 12 months away your old account would have been closed and a new one created

If you want to use the same email address as the old account you need to remove and replace it with a different address on the old account first

if you no longer can't access the old account for whatever reason the only option is to use a different email (you can get free email accounts from the likes of gmail etc)
