refund sitting as credit in account but want it in. my bank account

I stopped my sky internet. I was told £49 would come off 1/4/26 and it would be refunded to me 1/5/26

Can you escalate the request for my credit refund please.

It is showing on my account as credit that they say I can use for next bill. There won't be a next  bill as I told Sky im closing my account? Why isnt the amount in my bank account yet?

and the payment system is still open

Many thanks

Refunds after cancelling should take about 6 weeks from your last day of connection however posts here do suggest it’s taking longer.

To see if they can help you I’ve escalated your post to Sky and their Community Messaging Team should make contact with you later.

Look out for a post on this thread from one of the team inviting you to a private chat and then you should see a blue/red speech bubble at the bottom of your forum page. You’ll have 48 hours to click on it and start the private chat or it will close automatically. If you fail to respond to a chat reply within 48 hours the chat will again close down automatically even if your issue hasn’t been resolved. Replies from Sky aren’t instant so you’ll need to check the chat thread periodically.

Now that you have for some strange reason closed your Community account, the escalation process can't happen so if you still view this thread and see this message you will need to call Sky or wait until the refund occurs naturally,
