Hi
I am here mainly to try and sort out my in laws sky package. they have two hd plus boxes that they watch separately in two rooms. Looking at their normal viewing styles they don’t stray far from the freeview channels or the very basic sky channels. the main benefit they get from the sky plus box seems to be a glorified dvr. they are currently paying £119 a month, they have sky multiroom £15 2 sky+ subscriptions £0 a discounted sky go extra £0 discounted from £5 box sets £51.50 hd basic £0 sky sports Hd £6 sky sports complete and skyports+ £33 sky cinema £13.
I think this was all part of a special deal years ago, as they are in thier late 80s, not liking change and they have just carried on paying.
They are not watching sports or cinema so before I contact customer support I as wondering if the community give me some advice on how to processed and what package is likely to alow them carry on as they are.
Thank you

Sky will only talk to the account holder to negotiate a new discounted deal unless you are already authorised to speak on their behalf and can answer the security questions.
I'm sure the agent will advise them changing to Sky Q / Stream or Glass for a better deal so that's something they need to consider and research fully first.

However, Sky may not be prepared to offer a new deal without upgrading to Q. (Which is a fairly major change)

As you rightly say Box Sets is a legacy base package for which they'll almost certainly be paying over the odds. The current basic package is the Signature package. I don't know whether Sky will allow them to switch to Signature with Sky+ boxes, but worth asking.

If they had updated to current packages through the years and removed the packages they weren't using .... the full price without discounts would've benn less than £50 today for what they watch😟
The final base pack for Sky+ HD was Signature £32 and the multiroom £15🤔
